We are nearing mid-April and some of those poems, written months ago in disappearing ink are finally reappearing. They are finally beginning to reveal their whispered sonnets and meanings.
Many years ago, when I first started working with perennials, I used to bemoan the fact that they were all too brief. I wanted their presentations to last all season long. Now, I realize that it is the very best part of perennials. The garden is my orchestra . After careful planning, as the conductor and composer, I point my baton, and they stand , in groups, or a solo performance. Always a pleasure to receive an idea for a new composition from a master. I am sure you have felt the same. ( No comment necessary).

I just love this, Lor. And I love it that you leave such wonderful notes. Thank you.,
Thank you my friend. It feels true, doesn't it? We make a collection of choices that others won't really see or understand for months, seasons, years in some cases. Poems written in disappearing ink. And then one day, they grow into something that we visualized and 'wrote' long before. I thank you for your careful and generous reader's eye.
Oh to wander there! Totes stunning photos... John Albers is truly a Garden magician---I love your FaceTime capture!
The pollen-powdered bee on your finger kinda says it all for me---all fairy-dusted---doing the beautiful work of life... each photo holds such depth of color and form... early bloomings are intricate...
When you two garden artists get together, it's a pure energy meld!
One of these days you and Phil may find yourself in this neck of the woods, in which case I will attempt to make the case that you should walk a few magical gardens with me. John's would be right there, top of the list.
Hey Jody, 'poiema' is a keeper. Magical, really. If Cormac McCarthy could make up fifty new words each novel that we all understood and that helped drive the story, then I do think you should stand proudly beside your poetically plural noun. Poiema. It has an elegance to it. What a delight to have you here. I'm most grateful.
I recently posted about the Camas in my own yard with a video so it’s fun to see the ones you spied out in nature on a walk!
All Creation Speaks of HIM!
Epimedium, FairyWings
and Camas~ gorgeous!

"Poems written in disappearing ink." If there ever was a more appropriate description of the gardening process I don't know it. Thank you!

Oh my. Albers looks fabulous.
Thanks pal. I'll pass it along.
What a breathtaking array of magic for a dreary morning outside my window🤩
Exactly what I hoped it might be for someone like you, Danyce. May your day be filled with all sorts of unexpected wonders...
How have I not heard of these wonderful gardens?! Will have to check it out some time.
Definitely worth the visit, Logan.
