I absolutely agree with Chloe, dear David... you are a magic magnet! But, as stunning as it is, I would never touch that stone... nor now, not at my age...
When I was much younger, living in Ireland and yet more gullible than I am now even - yes, sadly that is possible - I was told by a beautiful always bejewelled, hippy-dippy friend that if I carried a piece of rose quartz in my pocket it would look after all things pertaining to love, that it would help, even, to conceive a child. Indeed these beautiful rosy stones are known for their witchery in conjuring the magic of love. A child though? I wasn't convinced... but I carried a piece in my pocket anyway, just in case, you know. And, magic happened - I conceived a daughter and quickly, her name, you may remember, is Rosie.
After she was born, I misplaced the stone, ten years passed before I was to find it again buried in a piece of floral cotton in a forgotten box, I thought nothing of unwrapping it and placing it in my pocket.
By this time we had moved to France, the house we had fallen in love with was still a half derelict mess and the language a trial before judgement on a daily basis. Yet, no matter the timing, within days of carrying the stone I began to feel the unmistakable waves of nausea which could mean but one thing...
Just saying... I hope you didn't touch that exquisitely beautiful stone, at least not for too long anyway - I was 44 when Seth was born!
I use my stones for healing mostly. I'm an energy-healer. I also find crystals and stones exquisite as I do many aspects of the natural world. The mineral kingdom is very real.
Amazing picture and prose you have written about it in just a short essay. you are truly a gifted writer and photographer. I really love to see your pictures and read your stories. You find beauty in so much and that is something we truly need at this time in America.

Oh wow…wow. I’ve never before wanted so badly to get on a plane and press my hands and forehead against a thing so much. You’re a magic-magnet, David.
Hello, dear Chloe.
If you know me at all, you'll know how deeply this pleases me,
a moment of wow for a deep-waters friend.
a gift...
Thank you.

Everything is connected. We have but the faintest clue.
It's a mystery to me. I enjoy the mystery of the natural world. If it was over explained to me, nature would lose its awe.
Gorgeous
Thanks Holly.
That is the grandmother rose quartz to all my pocket stones. I would love to encounter a giant rose quartz in the forest.
It is rather a treat, Patricia.
Pocket stones? For luck? Energetic assistance? Healing?
Follow the Growiser link at the bottom and find out just where you can meet such a 'grandmother.'
Thank you for the kindness of your note.
Your eyes and ears are always open, and so you open ours! Thanks David
Thank you Frank.

…and this is the way of magic…🧚🏼♀️
🙏
I was going to say “surreal,” but that’s not it. Maybe it’s the magic of the real.
🙏. Smiling, Julie.
It's mystical, even in daylight...
Wow, what a picture. The mountain meadows have a charm all their own. Art imitates life.
🙏. Thank you, August. Your note is a gift.
