On This 4th of July
a wish...
May we once again reach for those highest expressions of integrity and compassion, loyalty and bravery, elegance and fairness while taking to heart these bitter and newfound understandings of our history of arrogance and slavery, self-aggrandizement, bullying and deceit, and the bitter fruits they have borne.
This is a gorgeous wish, comma my friend.
Thank You, David, for blessing us with your noble wish this morning. It's helped this weary soul "reset" so that rather than wallowing in despair, I shall dust myself off and get out into the garden where I'll be comforted by nature and can contemplate how to achieve those lofty goals.
